Blogger Bash Coffee Talk

For those of you who were keeping up with my travels yesterday, you know I’m in New York City (tagging everything #BBNYC )! I would escape to this city for almost any reason but this week I am here meeting up with some of the BEST bloggers and brands from all over the U.S.  at Blogger Bash!

Blogger Bash will also encompass Sweet Suite this year and I am so excited to be a part of what is happening along the way. My friend Steph, over at A Grande Life put together a little “get to know you” link up. I wanted to participate thinking  it would be fun way to connect with those attending. For those of you aren’t, you’ll get an exclusive sneak peek into some blogging “coffee talk”.

Blogger Bash Coffee Talk

1. Name:  Alice Chase

2. Where are you from? I’m originally from Illinois but “the great state of” Texas has won my heart.

3. How long have you been blogging? I’ve been blogging since November 2010- almost 4 years!

4. What is the meaning behind your blog name? Other than just being a play on our own last name, Thrill of the Chase’s began because our family was always doing so many unique and fun things. With 6 big personalities, under one roof there is bound to be a good deal of excitement. We love a good story and believed ours was one worth sharing.

5. What are you most looking forward to at Blogger Bash? Connection. Whether its other bloggers or brands, relationships is what I’m all about. I can’t wait to meet all those I talk to weekly or daily but may not have ever seen face to face. I’m also looking forward to the laughs – you can’t have that much funny in one room and not have to laugh until you pee at least once.

6. What three words describe you the best? Trustworthy, Adventurous, Creative

7. Got kids? How many? We have 4 children. 2 teenagers and 2 “littles” Jonathan (16), Sydney (15), Kaitlyn (10), & Sebastian (8)

8. We all have a pet peeve. What is your #1? No 1 pet peeve is treating those who serve you disrespectfully, not tipping, or not making direct eye contact with them when addressing them. Whether it is a server at a restaurant, cashier at the supermarket or even the bus driver, I believe everyone deserves to “be seen” & recognized.

9. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? This is such a tough one. I actually have a long list going. Probably a few you would not expect.  Gene Simmons, is there as one of the best brand marketers of ALL TIME. I am not a rock n roll groupie but the way he developed Kiss with such longevity as a brand is fascinating. Penn Jillette and his wife, although our systems of belief completely contradict, I think the dinner conversation would be enjoyable, engaging, and respectful.  Then its a toss-up between Steve Martin and Robin Williams. I am always looking for the funny.

10. Show me your face!

And there we have it….So, did you learn something new about me today? What did you find most interesting?

For those of you who will be there – I can’t wait to meet all of you at Blogger Bash very soon!

  1. I have always thought your blog name was such a good play on words with your last name! And I was VERY surprised by your list of people you’d like to talk with. That was interesting!
