High Speed Family Fun at SpeedZone Dallas #SpeedZoneDallas

Lately, our oldest has been spending all his free time working at his new job. We are so proud of him but not having him around for all of our family activities has been a change. I was excited that on Friday we would enjoy a rare day with everyone’s schedule free. We headed to SpeedZone in Dallas for our first time of racing fun. This would be our first ever visit to SpeedZone but definitely not our last!Speedzone entrance

High Speed Family Fun at SpeedZone Dallas

We had seen SpeedZone several times from the highway and it always looked like such a fun place to visit. Originally, I thought it was just fun go karts and racing tracks. I was surprised to see that they offered several other attractions!

Our youngest ones enjoyed every race track they could, some tracks riding with mom or dad if they needed an older driver. Our oldest son got in some father/son bonding time on the Top Eliminator dragsters. In these dragsters, they had the opportunity to race each other in their own 300 horsepower racing machine that went 0-70 in less than 3.5 seconds and pull 2.5 G-forces. This track was really cool ( and LOUD!).  They got to race 3 times. Here is a video link to see them race.

All that adrenaline and racing created quite an appetite for our racers. SpeedZone has the cutest 50’s styled diner right on site, Johnny Rockets. After enjoying burgers, fries and hand -spun milkshakes, we headed back for more fun. We decided to check out the arcade area next. We played mini-bowling, interactive video games, and several rides in a virtual roller coaster ride.

The weather was perfect outside. So, next on our list was Speedway Golf. There are two 18-hole mini golf courses here too! Randy and Kaitlyn were serious golfers and enjoyed keeping score. Sebastian and I were in it just to enjoy the day and find the holes we liked best. Our team may have skipped around a little and re-mixed the course.

I was shocked to see we had spent almost half the day here and everyone was still having a ball. It was big enough that we could move from activity to activity but not so big that I was worried someone would get lost. I loved finding a location that fit every age bracket in our family. SpeedZone was high-speed fun for everyone!!
