My #KINDAwesome Superhero

Disclosure: I received  the product below as part of an advertorial

Yesterday, I shared with you the kindest thing our youngest did for me this weekend ( if you missed it you can check it out here.). Since then it’s been on my mind to do something kind, even just a little something #kindawesome , for someone else each day this week.  Hmmmm, Who should I choose? What should I do?

And then it came to me.

Literally.

It literally came. in. the. mail. ( Sometimes I think my life is being recorded. Truman Show, anyone?)

#kindawesome

KIND asked me to recognize my own personal superhero, someone who makes life #kindawesome, by dedicating a blog post to them. They also sent me 10 of their delicious KIND Healthy Grains Bars to try out. I was thrilled to see how well they fit in with our healthy on-the-go lifestyle. Each bar contains 18-22 grams of whole grains sourced from a blend of 100% unique whole grains including amaranth, quinoa, gluten-free oats, millet and buckwheat making them the perfect snack for any superhero. They come in some pretty delicious flavor options like:

  • Dark Chocolate Chunk
  • Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate
  • Vanilla Blueberry
  • Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt
  • Oats & Honey with Toasted Coconut

Lucky for me, I knew of a superhero who could use a little extra KINDness this week. ( <- see what I did there?)

If you follow us regularly, you know my husband is pretty much my superhero on a daily basis. More than just providing for us, he is consistently excelling in his career and community involvement, modeling an example of excellence for our children. On top of that, he is currently enrolled as a full-time student completing his graduate degree. He gets up everyday at 4:00 am ( 3 days to work out with me & 3 days a week to do homework so he doesn’t miss out on evening family time). Somehow he still manages the mental creativity to crack silly jokes with our youngest children while staying up late giving sound advice to our oldest teenagers. He makes time daily to send me text messages that remind me he is thinking of me or that he took time at lunch to pray for our family. I love that he is always a willing participant when I inform him of the latest crazy- fun adventure I’ve signed us up for.

He’s not perfect though, every superhero has their  kryptonite right? Perhaps. I mean, I just recently found out that he can’t juggle. I may/may not have been impressing people for 12 years with how amazed I was that he could do all that he does and could even juggle ( totally did!) only to find out that I was spreading lies! He can not in fact juggle. Who knew??

Anyway, this week is an especially busy week for my #KINDAwesome superhero husband. In addition to all the great stuff that he usually does, he is helping coordinate an annual awards banquet recognizing exemplary businesses and leaders in the community and executing a huge business expo on the weekend. I’m pretty certain he will be so focused on the tasks at hand that he will forget to fuel his mind and body properly. (Did I mention he is also selfless of his time?)  KIND Healthy Grains Bars to the rescue! I’m planning to deliver a basket to his office filled with these and a few bottles of water to help him keep up his energy this week. I hope this little bit of kindness will help him know how much he is loved and appreciated for all he is doing because he really is #KINDAwesome.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. That was so kind of KIND! That’s awesome.

They’re so yummy! My favorite thing about them, they’re soft. I’ve actually been eating at least one a day the past couple of days!

    I love your family!

  2. I love that your husband is your hero (even after finding out he can’t juggle)! What a great post.

    Cheers,
