Teachers Change Lives #TeachersChangeLives #CGC

Even if you didn’t personally have a child taking the STAAR test this week, it was hard to miss all the dedicated teachers posting about it online.  For months, they have been going above and beyond.  Teaching, training, praying, encouraging, cheering them on, and investing into the lives of their students.  And they are doing this for much more than test results.  They are doing this because they know the difference investing in their students can make.

They do it because they know…..Teachers Change Lives

From our youngest to our oldest child, each have had several teachers that have impacted them in a positive way over the course of their education.  Every week our children tell us stories of teachers who have written them a note or said an encouraging statement that carried them through their day a little lighter.  To name them individually would take forever.  These men and women  partner with us at various times to help our children succeed.  They help overcome areas of weakness and are there to cheer us on when we have great success.  My hope is that the words “Thank You” can truly convey our great appreciation.

But what if we could do a little bit more than a thank you?

It’s no secret that Office Depot has always been a HUGE supporter of educators. Office Depot and Adopt-A-Classroom (a nonprofit organization that helps connect donors) have partnered to raise awareness about teachers, and all that they do in the lives of their students.  Teachers are doing innovative things in the classroom and often spend money out of their own pockets to make great learning opportunities a reality.  We can help them do more by donating to a teacher at our schools or in our local community.  Everything makes a difference.

Teachers Change lives. So can you. Here’s how:

  1. If it wasn’t for my kid teacher being so amazing I would have changed schools for my daughter. I have had a hard time dealing with the admin staff with medical needs vs educational needs.

  2. I love this! My mother is a teacher so I see first hand how much they inspire and change lives. A good teacher does wonders for a person’s learning experience!

  3. I would love to know where your kids go to school. I know there are great teachers out there but the area that I am from there were not enough to keep us in the school system. Sadly they all pretty much had the parts of teaching removed from them by all the politics they had to deal with to keep their jobs. It was sad to watch the enthusiastic new teachers with passion lose it within a year of constantly battling the higher ups so we finally started homeschooling.

    • I love that you homeschool. We have so many friends that do as well. Our kids attend a top notch public charter school. I really cant say enough good things. From the administration to the maintenance crew, everyone is working together to invest in the lives of our kids. It is such a blessing.

  4. They definitely do make a difference!

  5. It’s amazing how much one teacher can change someone’s life! This looks like a great cause to support.

    • I loved having a way to donate to the class that would really benefit the teacher. Much better than me trying to just guess what may be needed.

  6. What a fantastic scheme – it really is true teachers can change lives and are such important people.x

  7. A great teacher really does make a difference for kids. I can still remember the few good ones I had, and I’m so thankful for them.

  8. The teacher who influenced me best was the one who encouraged me with my writing. Without her, I’d still be trying to figure out life.
