5 Simple Ways to make your Bathroom Guest Ready

post disclosure

If you have young children living in your home your guest bathroom may not feel very luxurious on a daily basis. Bathtub scattered with toys from last night’s bath, toothpaste in the sink and mismatched towels strewn about- Sound familiar??? Heads up, my mama friends! The holidays are here. Your friends from near and far are making heir plans to visit you soon. So, let’s get your bathroom guest ready. It’s easier than you think and it doesn’t have to cost a fortune either! Here are 5 simple fixes to make your bathroom luxuriously guest ready (on a budget!).

Clear the Clutter
This first step won’t cost you anything but will make all the difference in the world. Grab a bucket and toss all the rubber duckies, bath crayons, and tub toys in here. Store these beloved items under the sink. Next clear off anything on the counter that isn’t a necessity. You may even want to clear out a spare drawer for your guests to put their toiletries while they stay with you.

Now that you’ve cleaned off the counter, place a few necessities (extra toothbrush, travel size toothpaste, loofah) and a few niceties ( luxury soaps, fragrant body lotion, even special travel size items) inside a small basket on the counter. This is just an extra step that will let your guest know you thought ahead for their stay.

Fluffy New Towels
There is nothing more luxurious than stepping out of the shower and wrapping yourself in a fluffy sheet of bath towel. Don’t pay full price for these! Often times you can find these discounted Ross or T.J. Maxx for half of what you would pay elsewhere.

New Shower Curtain and Bath Mat
One of the easiest ways to update to replace the shower curtain. Find a classic color to coordinate with the season or  even a bright white can make it feel like an upscale hotel. If a new curtain isn’t in your budget, throw your existing curtain in the wash to freshen it up. Likewise, shop for a coordinating mat to step out on after your guests shower or bath. We recently picked up a bath mat at Costco that was made with memory foam that  is just amazing!

Replace the Faucets and Showerhead
There is something wonderful about taking a long relaxing shower. You can make this one of the most memorable parts of the stay with one quick update. Replacing the faucet or showerhead! This can give the perception of  luxury and  increase the feeling of relaxation your guests have while they stay at your home. While you are doing this consider changing out the faucet as well. Make sure to coordinate the finish on both for a uniform look. Danze.com has some great videos and ideas to give you more inspiration.

It will only take a little bit of effort to be holiday ready and by taking care of these easy steps now both you and your guests will have an enjoyable & relaxing visit.

What do you do to make your bathroom inviting for guests?
