SEA LIFE Aquarium Grapevine Texas

One family activity not to be missed is SEA LIFE Aquarium! We recently got the chance to visit and it is by far one of our favorite things to do in Grapevine, TX. From the 360° Underwater Ocean Tunnel, 30 incredible displays, and more than 5,000 sea creatures everyone in your group will find something that they love.

The kids were super excited to see all the various sea creatures and varieties of fish and I loved how relaxing it all was. For me, any location that allows the kids to have fun and the parents to relax a bit is a big win! I didn’t realize how large the location was prior to our visit. It spans several floors and has so much to offer. When we began our journey inside the front desk gave us scavenger hunt of questions to fill out. At the end, we were able to redeem it for a prize in the gift shop.

Once we got inside everyone was just captivated by all the different creatures we hadn’t seen before.

The seahorses were definitely one of our favorite attractions. There were so many and they were just mesmerizing! SEA LIFE has been a pioneer in the field of seahorse breeding, successfully breeding and rearing nine different species to date to help this very sensitive and endangered sea creature from facing extinction.

Sea LifeShark

Shark Mission is a new area at SEA LIFE that allows visitors to learn about several different breeds of sharks.  There is also a great photo op area to take your picture inside the jaws of the largest shark that ever lived. The kids had a great time hamming it up for this picture.

At the end there was an area where we could see and even touch sea creatures and starfish. There is also a fun play area to explore and get any extra energy out- socks are required to play so make sure to bring an extra pair if the kids are wearing sandals.

Our Spring Break Fun at IT’Z Family Food & Fun

I love surprising the kids with fun new activities! This year the only spring break plans we had told the kids about included traveling to visit family. But I had a few surprises for them to celebrate our week-long hiatus before our family road-trip.  As soon as all the kids were released from school and the van was packed, we made our way to IT’Z Family Food & Fun in Euless.

Our Spring Break Fun at IT’Z Family Food & Fun

When we first arrived, I was impressed to see how large of a facility it really was! Being that it was the first day of spring break and a Friday afternoon, the parking lot was packed. I was a little concerned we might be squished since it looked like lots of families had the same plan we did. Once inside, the floor plan was so well done and it didn’t feel crowded at all!

IT'Z Collage

Initially, we decided to explore the facility since it was our first visit. I knew to expect laser tag, route 66 mini-bowling, bumper cars, and video games but there was so much more than that inside. We first walked by FOUR themed dining areas, all with theaters.

IT'Z dining rooms

Directly across from the dining rooms was IT’Z unlimited pizza and salad buffet. I was so pleased to see that there was a healthy salad bar option available! It kept me from splurging and ruining my diet. We walked through the huge arcade area with both interactive games and video games. There was indoor rock climbing, two bowling alleys, laser tag, and bumper cars.  I’m not kidding you when I say there was a TON to do here!

Our kids definitely enjoyed the indoor rock climbing-  We visited this attraction a few times during our visit!

We were ready for some food and refreshments after all the fun games so we enjoyed the buffet and choose the theater playing The Croods. It was a relaxing was to enjoy our meal and we talked about what things we wanted to finish up before we headed home. On the way out, I also noticed that IT’Z had several private party rooms. What a fun place to consider for a birthday party!

IT’Z  is always offering great deals like these so be sure to check their website before you visit. It would be a great activity to plan for this summer when the kids are bored and it’s too hot outside to play!

I had a few more spring break surprises for the family that I will be sharing soon! We had such a great time- I cant wait to share them all with you!

What were your favorite moments of Spring Break this year?

High Flying Family Fun at Flight Deck Trampoline Park

This weekend our whole family got the chance to check out Flight Deck Trampoline Park. I was super excited to find out everyone from our younger ones to our teenagers wanted to go on this adventure. It can sometimes be a challenge finding family activities that suit everyone’s ages and interests. I also had been hearing a lot about the fun workouts trampoline centers offer and was curious to see how much of a workout all this jumping really was.  Did you know you can burn 1,000 calories in just an hour?!?!

Flight Deck Trampoline Park  offers more than 90 indoor trampolines and indoor trampoline attractions that include a foam pit, basketball dunking lanes, main court, and two dodge-ball arenas. They also offer a designated area for smaller children ( under 44″) where no “big” jumping is allowed. Every week events such as Teen Nights, Family Nights, Vertical Aerobics, Kid Jump and Open Jump times are available. Be sure to check out the Flight Deck Trampoline Park website for special deals and more information on everything they offer.

When we first arrived,we were immediately greeted by Flight Deck’s friendly employees. They directed us to a row of several computers to complete waivers for everyone in our group. (This can also be done online from home to save time if you like.)  We were able to complete our waivers quickly and then one of the staff explained the Flight Deck rules to us and gave each of us the same colored wristband. To keep a good rotation and avoid over crowding, tickets are purchased in 1 hr or 2 hr segments. The wristbands are color coded and when your time is up an announcement is made for that color to leave the deck.  I loved that I didn’t have to worry about constantly checking the time and could just have fun with the rest of my family.  The facility was very large so even on a busy day, with several parties,  it never felt crowded. It was also staffed very efficiently to ensure everyone was safely having a great time together.

Who can resist jumping into a pit of foam????

Sebastian loved the trampoline basketball courts! These courts can make everyone a basketball MVP.

In addition to all the jumping activities and fun, Flight Deck Trampoline Park offers  several rooms for birthday parties and Cool Zone, an in-house frozen yogurt bar. They offered tons of great flavors and toppings. When our teens were done they had a great time hanging out there and enjoying some new flavors, while the little ones kept jumping a little more.

I love family time where we can get moving together and have fun! We had a great time at Flight Deck Trampoline Park and will definitely be back!!
